Tastet is the Quebec food guide: more than 3 million unique readers and more than 1,400 selected venues, with no restaurant paying to be listed. Its web app and its iOS and Android apps serve the general public, and a white-label web version equips partners such as Destination Québec cité and Air France.

Context and challenges
Tastet started as a media outlet: articles and lists of good restaurants. It wanted to turn that into a digital platform, with a map, filters, lists and online booking, on mobile as well as on the web. The project grew: a free app for all of Quebec, an appearance on Dragons’ Den, and a white-label B2B version so that other organizations can offer the guide to their customers.
What we did
Stabilization of the media site and editorial tools
Maintenance of the media site and of the AI tools used by the editorial team.
An iOS and Android app
Map, search, filters and lists, online booking with Libro and OpenTable, published on the App Store and Google Play and updated regularly. The app moved to free access.
A B2C web app
A web app and a showcase site to find tables from a browser.
A white-label B2B web app
A web version that can be deployed in a partner’s colours: a map for Destination Québec cité and a guide to the best restaurants for Air France in Montréal and Toronto.
In pictures
The map: addresses around you, with filters.
An address page: photos, key facts, contacts and description.
The magazine: articles and editorial lists.
The home screen on a phone: nearby addresses and latest news.
The same page on a phone.
